Dear Parents and Caregivers of Touchet RedHawks Students,
Today kicks off a new effort of providing Volunteers and Improved Activities to the students that use the Touchet Public Library during after-school hours! The library is a positive, safe environment for any students that need (or want!) somewhere to hang out after school. They keep their doors open until 6pm to accommodate our school community’s needs, and they also provide STEM activities every Monday, extra game and electronic gaming options on Tuesdays, and a family movie on Fridays.
There has been an ongoing need for a little extra support, and someone recently stepped up to help out this effort. The goal is to maintain a volunteer 2-3 days a week to interact with the kids, use the newly-provided activities and games, and support the librarian.
We are so grateful to those that have made a monetary donation to fund supplies, donated games, or signup up to volunteer! These will be ongoing needs and requests; point of contact is Shannon Crouthamel (509)855-2956 or the Librarian Rachel.
