Touchet School District is proud of our seniors and excited to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2021 graduates. While our traditional senior events and graduation ceremony need to look a little different due to social distancing guidelines and restrictions, we are committed to honoring our students and their families on the completion of their high school journey.
The Touchet School District graduation ceremony will comply with federal, state, and local requirements. Attendees will be required to follow health and safety requirements, including masking and social distancing. All ceremonies will be held outdoors on the TSD Football Field. Each graduate will receive ten (10) tickets for their ceremony to ensure compliance with capacity limits outside. They will receive 5 “red” tickets and 5 “blue” tickets. In the event of poor weather, the ceremony will be held in the gym. Should this be the case, only the “blue” tickets (5) per family will be allowed for entrance at the gym due to capacity compliance. The ceremony will be live streamed in either case. Touchet School District will be celebrating our seniors with the following:
Commencement Ceremony:
Outside Ceremony: (Football Field)
- Entry locations, one on Hansen St. the other on Champion St.
- There will be wellness check at both entry points.
- Ten ticket per family – 5(red) 5(blue).
- Each family will be assigned a 10x10 Square foot area on the football field. Families can bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. No food, water is ok.
- Student gift tables will be located in the Touchet Park.
- All gifts and balloons should be placed on gift tables prior to entering the football field area.
- Exiting the ceremony:
- Graduates will begin their recession toward the park (gift tables).
- A school official will release families to the park.
- We are asking that graduates and families gather their gifts as quickly as possible as to comply with event guidelines.
- Graduation will be live streamed.
Inside Ceremony: (Gym)
- Families will enter using 5 (blue) tickets in the main gym entry.
- Wellness check for all visitors and guests.
- Gift tables will be placed in the foyer and east hallway. All balloons and gifts should be left on tables before entering the gym.
- Families will sit together (in an area designated seating for five) either on bleachers or chairs on the floor.
- Exiting Ceremony:
- Graduates will begin their recession toward the foyer (gift tables)
- We’re encouraging parents and families to gather their gifts as quickly as possible as to comply with event guidelines.
- Graduation will be live streamed.
