Statement from the Touchet School District Board of Directors

It has come to the Board's attention that the names of one or more Board members were included on a petition currently being circulated regarding concerns about district personnel.
To avoid any misunderstanding, the Board wishes to clarify that no member of the Touchet School District Board of Directors organized, initiated, sponsored, or is participating in this petition. The inclusion of Board members' names on the petition was not authorized by those individuals.
The Board remains committed to carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with district policy, state law, and established personnel procedures. Concerns regarding district employees will continue to be addressed through the appropriate administrative and legal processes.
We appreciate the community's engagement and encourage all stakeholders to continue communicating through the proper channels established by the district.
