📣 We wanted to take a moment to share a heartwarming story that truly captures the spirit of gratitude and kindness in our Touchet school community. Our 5th Grade Redhawk Leaders have been spreading gratitude this month, and they recently took the initiative to do something incredibly special for our local Veterans.

Touchet Water Update!
Dear Touchet School District Families,
At Touchet School District, safety is always our top priority! We want to update you on a situation regarding our domestic drinking water. Yesterday afternoon, we discovered that the power outage from a couple of weeks ago caused a reset of the scheduled regeneration process in our nitrate system, which purifies our drinking water.
As part of a routine procedure, salt was added to the system in preparation for the regeneration process over the weekend. However, due to the disruption in the system's timing, the regeneration occurred sooner than expected, leading to a slightly salty taste in the water.
We want to assure you that daily tests confirm the water in our building is safe to drink and use, aside from the salty taste. To provide additional reassurance and comfort, we have ordered temporary water stations for a short period of time to allow the system to properly refresh.
We hope this explanation clarifies why we have brought in these water stations, and we appreciate your understanding and support. As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
Robert Elizondo
Superintendent, Touchet School District
90 Champion Street
Touchet, Wa. 99360
